care for some Hot Chilli massage anyone???

this is hilarious, got to share this, got to share this...
while doing my trashy reading (the sun newspaper) this morning, i scanned through the classified section & came across this ad under Other Personal Services;
hahahaa....tacky names for the masseuse for attention grabbing purposes though i must say, that is so very creative on the operator side!!! so there's Susugirl (milkgirl), Wantan Mee(wanton noodle), Ajinomoto( a famous food seasoning brand), there's Tomato, Colgate( famouse brand for tooth paste) & not forgetting their very own~Ms Hamburger!!
i did check out the previous day's paper, it seems that they change their call signs everyday like this other ad by the same operator... the names are not as prominent as the ad above but they do have Papaya among others!!!!

hmmm...this reminds me of my good friend Lee...he did mention something about all this weird tacky fruity names for those who works in the spa....i wonder how he knows!? ;P

the chronicles of 10 years ago today...the visiting part

yeah...it's 10 years ago today that i went visit his (me hubby to be) parents...

after the first meeting... most of the time we talked over the phone & up till then we've been practicing the old school way...nope no courting...whenever we did meet, there were always people with us...hahaha...never just the two of us! suci ok...;P

exactly 16 days after that i was invited over to his parents house for lunch. I went there with my SIL~ Gye, my best friend Sarah & her daughter Balqish for diversion purposes, so that the focus did not just fall on me when there's a lil child around...hahaha....
i made my SIL drive, cos i was of course busy farming butterflies in my tummy & touching up my make up!! hehehe..
it was a busy Saturday & the traffic was awful...we got in quite late, not fashionably late..just embarrassingly late! not a very good 1st impression i would say....
but the parents were cool about it...we were forgiven & their long wait is also forgotten..yeay!!!

the lunch went well, that was the 1st time i was introduced to mee kwantong (noodle)... yummy!!! the first time i ever heard of it's existence!
...so did the meeting with the parents... they're very laid back, sporting & very liberal people that i've ever met in an old Malay couple... a contrast to my very own parents i would say....

so there, the meeting part is over...it's a get to know each other session...& yeah it went well...phewh!

till the next part of the chronicles... when his parents met mine part...

RIP Michael Jackson!

Never Can Say Goodbye

LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson, the "King of Pop" who once moonwalked above the music world, died Thursday 25th JUne 2009. He was 50.

Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.

"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said. Police said they were investigating, standard procedure in high-profile cases.

Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

The Seed

found this in my inbox this morning...

A successful business man was growing old and
knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business.
Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children,
he decided to do something different. He called all the young
executives in his company together.

He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO.
I have decided to choose one of you. "The young executives were
Shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one
of you a SEED today - one very special SEED. I want you to plant
the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with
what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then
judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be
the next CEO."

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others,
received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the
story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted
the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had
grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began
to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.

Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.
Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing.
By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have
a plant and he felt like a failure.
Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he
had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but
he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however.
He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the
seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company
brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.
Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot.
But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick
to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment
of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot
to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety
of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful --
in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and
many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young
executives.

Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees,
and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will
be appointed the next CEO!"

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with
his empty pot. He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to
the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a
failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened
to his seed - Jim told him the story.

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim,
and then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive Officer!

His name is Jim!" Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow
his seed.

"How could he be the new CEO?" the others said.

Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this
room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it,
and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds;
they were dead - it was not possible for them to grow.

All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and
flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you
substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the
only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with
my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new
Chief Executive Officer!"

* If you plant honesty, you will reap trust

* If you plant goodness, you will reap friends

* If you plant humility, you will reap greatness

* If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment

* If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective

* If you plant hard work, you will reap success

* If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation

So, be careful what you plant now;
it will determine what you will reap later.

Coffee or Cup?

Let me borrow this story and share with all ....

The happiest people in the world are not those who have no problems, but those who learn to live with things that are less than perfect.'

A group of graduates, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor.

Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee, the professor said: 'If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the simple and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases, it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... Then you began eyeing each other's cups.'

Now consider this, said the professor, 'Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us. Enjoy your coffee!'

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything. Four things to take note of in life...

1. Live simply.
2. Love generously.
3. Care deeply.
4. Speak kindly.

Shine a light & enjoy your Coffee today!

beast in human skin

MIRI: The body of a baby boy and a female foetus were discovered by police here in the early hours of the morning in two separate places.

The four-month-old boy was found dumped on the beach just metres away from the turbulent South China Sea. The body was found inside a cardboard box under a tree at the beach that is popular for jogging and kite-flying. It is located about 1km from the Lutong Bazaar.

Members of the public who spotted the baby reported the matter to police near midnight. A police source said a team went to the site and found the dead baby, adding that the authorities had yet to determine the time and cause of death.

In the other incident, a seven-month-old female foetus was found early yesterday morning inside the house of a 23-year-old unmarried woman.

The house is located in a kampung near the Lutong Bazaar.

The jobless woman was said to have been rushed to the Miri Hospital by relatives when she bled profusely late Tuesday night.

A hospital source said the staff members suspected something amiss and questioned her but to no avail.

This prompted them to call the police, who went to see the woman.

The remains of the foetus was found in a bedroom.

The source said the woman revealed that she gave birth while bathing on Tuesday.

The remains of both the baby and the foetus were sent to Miri Hospital for a post-mortem.

Miri police chief ACP Jamaluddin Ibrahim and his deputy Supt Ismail Paduka Idris could not be reached for comments as both were outstation yesterday.

it pains me when i read this...how inhumane can some people be!??? if it's just so unwanted, why can't they atleast leave the babies somewhere safe, somewhere where some good Samaritans are bound to find them babies...

there are so many childless married couples who longed to have their own offspring but their wishes denied...no matter how hard they try, it's always come to a fruitless effort...
& here, are those people who's been given the 'fruit' but simply throw them away...& what's even worse is that we come across this kind of news everyday & i very much find this whole issue very upsetting...enough said.

Sabah oh Sabah here i come!!! (the intro...)

the trip, scheduled from June 11th to June 14th 2009 was painstakingly organized by my BIL Jmey from the flight booking to the accommodations as well as for the activities (though it's more or less a free & easy trip) & all we (the rest of us) did was to make all sorts of demands criticized him mercilessly!! hahaha..poor thing he my BIL....;P
oh & the trip was 80% sponsored by my FIL...GOD bless him...i love u bah!((((Mwahs)))

altogether, there were 14 of us; my PIL- Bah & Mak, Kry & Sue, Eyna, Shafizan,& their 3 kids- Mike, Sam & Eric, Jmey, Syaniz (my niece), my hubby, Laith & i.

the chronicles of 10 years ago today...the meeting part

yeah, today-Thursday the 10th of June 1999 was the day when four eyes met two hahaha...that's because i wear lenses!!!

so after i was told about me hubby to be(h2b) 10 days ago( 30th may 1999), today as of 10 years ago was the day when we were scheduled to meet.

where: coffee bean Bangsar
when: sometime after lunch

went there with my 3 brothers; along, ateh & pa uda plus my eldest SIL; kak long. so no, we were not alone, i was chaperoned!!!;P

when we got there, he & a few of our mutual friends were there waiting...
to tell the truth, i was very embarrassed even though i know all of them there (except for him of course). i was then positioned to sit next to him! err...this is actually very embarrassing to write...how would u feel when all eyes were focused on you at that particular moment? turned all red of course..... oh & not forgetting that my 3 brothers & SIL were there too to witness, duh!!!

anyhoo.. we said hi to each other & smiled & the rest.... all i can say is history...don't asked what we wore or what we ordered or what we talked about...i just don't remember...
... it was like u're hit by lightning sorta feeling...hmmm... not that i've been hit by lightning b4 so to speak but u know...the feeling... when u're falling in love... hmmm.....tummy churning, constant 'cocklish' smile on the face, the feeling like u're walking in the air, daydreaming 24/7....ahhh bliss!!!!
we hit it off right from the start...love @first sight? i guess it was!

to be continued... the visit part

roses for ma...& the centerpiece that i left behind!!!

ma’s birthday falls on the 16th of May. it is in conjunction with teacher’s day as well as mother’s day or mother's weekend as i call it. So this year on her 71st, my 4th brother ‘pa uda’ took the lead to hold a birthday get together among the siblings & close friends.

I decided to make some lil cupcakes with our ( all her children & grandchildren) initials on. On top of that, I thought a chocolate cake will be nice too. However, I started quite late that Friday nite since we(my hubby, my PIL & i) went to Seremban 2 in the afternoon to check out the golf fest they were having.
I only started preparing for the quest sometime after 11pm after a quick visit to Tesco for some missing items for the cake recipe.

The first batter (for cupcakes) attempt did not turn up well, frustrated I decided to just simply make the whole cake instead. Trying out another recipe… damn something just ain’t right…it just did not rise! Warghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!:O
That was almost 1.30 on Saturday morning. I thought I can’t just go to sleep without a success story to tell in the morning…it’s a waste of my beauty sleep hours. So again I decided to try out another recipe..this time another cupcake batter was prepared. It looked great while in the oven but they went flat when I took it out. a waste of time, money & energy slaving myself in the kitchen with nothing to show in the morning. Feeling tired & frustrated, I lay down next to hubby for a bit of a rest.

I got up early that day for we had to prepare for some tender documents which was due on Monday. Went to the office, got everything done & went back home for another attempt. Decided that I will just make do with the cupcakes that I prepared earlier that morning & covered them with some icing & at the same time I tried out another choc cake recipe ( steamed choc cake this time) while I iced the cuppies. Blessed! it turned out well this time, Yeay!!!

Once everything ready,err...except for the topping, i planned of making them topping at my brother's house when i got there... I packed all up in a wicker basket for the choc cake & in the box went the cuppies… but b4 leaving for shah alam, we had to make a quick stop over at my PIL’s cos me hubby had wanted to change car.
Transferred everything into my PIL’s car or so I thought & off we went! When we reached the destination…took the box of cuppies out but my basket of precious chocolate cake was nowhere to be found in the car!!! WARhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! We left it in the other car!
so there i was an hour away from home where my wicker basket with the main birthday cake inside had been left behind!:<
we finally settled with just the cuppies....oh well it's the thought that counts hey! duh...forget about the energy & my beauty sleep for that matter...;p
anyway, to those wondering what happened to the cake in the end ...i brought it over to my PIL & let those choc cake lovers- especially sue & eyna & kak mis too polished 'em all!!;P

some one bought this flowers for ma.

though without the cake, we still had a good time at the gathering...it's just so good to get to see all my nieces & nephews& cousins (not everyone though) there...
& to ma, Happy Birthday & i love u always!!!!

Books....& more books @ Book Xcess.com

been whining to me hubby for the last couple of weeks that i had ran out of books to read inside & outside the bathroom hahaha.. well actually not really for bathroom material, cos for that i could read any backdated issues of whatever magazines available on route... yesterday he said we'll stop by at my fav. bookshop after our weekly visit to my parents in shah alam. Yeay, i love u babee!!!!

so today after shah alam as promised, we went there~Book Xcess @ amcorp mall~ http://www.bookxcess.com ~it's a place where u can find new books at half the price u pay for at MPH, Borders or popular book stores. their new books just arrived yesterday so it was heaven!!! my fav. authors Jeffrey Archer & Robert Ludlum's are both in store double yeay!!!

the store's concept is basically, whatever books (titles or authors)that are on shelves are what u get. it's more or less like a reject shop for the books which is probably a little dented or damage on the cover that do not fit the shelves of those major bookstores. but it's usually minor tear here & there on the cover so it's not that much of a problem to me. it's still pleasurable to read however the cover looks, hence the saying~ don't judge a book by it's cover` applies. Even though sometimes i couldn't find the books that i'm looking for but i don't mind it a bit cos there are plenty more books on the shelves & on the floor to choose from... there are times i simply buy any books that the manager recommends (sometimes by authors that i've never heard of b4)& i ended up loving them anyway...

so on this visit, i ended up buying 2 Robert Ludlum's (the Bourne Betrayal & Bourne Legacy) even though these 2 Bourne sequels were actually written by Eric Van Lustbader,i think these two will be as exciting as the first 3 original sequels anyway. one Jeffrey Archer's~ A prisoner of Birth, (each only priced @RM17.90 as oppose to the RM32.90-RM36.90 at those major bookstores), one purchase with purchse book @ only RM9.90~ The Godmother- by an author~Carrie Adams~ whom i'm not very familiar with though i've heard of her b4)

& one book for Laith~ Inkheart by Cornelia Funke also @RM17.90 though i very much suspected that i will be the one who ended up reading the book knowing my son very well.. he only likes the idea of buying- be it books (or toys)...!!!;P
however hard i try to instill the habit of reading in him... it only lasted for a few pages of almost every books accept for those picture storybooks (spiderman, star wars & the like)... & the books will be seen collecting dust somewhere..everywhere...around the house..
& now with Inkheart..how ironic- it's a book about people who love to read & just simply love books...i hope he will find it pleasurable to finish it eventually!

so if u love books u'd love book xcess.com... go check out the place!

as for me..i have books for my bedroom, one for the car, one in my bag & another in the office...so i'm of reading me books now yo!:D

happy reading...

a sMASHing weekend to some...

it's almost a week now since last weekend but i still feel like it's only been yesterday...

the weekend started of with one of our paintball team mate ~Mash Bangers'-(he is one of those weird characters in the team) Birthday Bash held at Laundry Bar, the Curve. since he loves my chocolate cake so much & even asked if he could order it from me(i made the cake sometime last year for two of the team mates for their birthday as a gift). i told him i don't sell them cakes but bake them just for fun..me an amateur cake baker~ it's just not right if i start taking orders~ what if the cake does not turn up right, up to the standard kan... it won't look good on me, right...;p

so i told me hubby that i'll bake the cake as a gift from the both of us. at first me hubby & i thought of making them lil cupcakes as well but due to not having enough time..i abandon the idea.

i planned to make 3 tier cakes for him so i had to make the first 2 ( the smallest & the middle size the evening b4) & made the biggest size ( see i don't even know the sizes of the cakes muahahahaha...)on the day itself to safe time ( cos on that friday evening we had a meeting @ Rasta's ( it's a food court somewhere @ BU i think).
anyway...on the morning of the bash, it was kinda hectic for me, cos i had to make that 3rd tier of the 3 cakes..then together with sue after she had finished her lunch duty (me & sue has one specific day each to cook at our PIL's~ me on thursday & sue on saturday or sunday) went out to get the cake topping, the cake base & boxes..we also bought some plastic palm trees as decorations.

but b4 we headed home to complete the cake topping, we stopped by at the salon for a quick blow dry...to save time & money we had earlier on washed our hair at home...hahaha...though we were not all that satisfied with the result, we just had to make do with it due to time constrain...

once hair all done up we got home & i started preparing for the topping...& the result..ta da!!!!(for both pictures~ make-up courtesy of me darling sis- Su..love u babe!)

the plastic soldiers were 'sponsored' by me son Laith...thanks darling, i'll buy u another set ok...Mwah!

sue & i with birthday boy's then gf nini.. it was an all white (except for the cake of course) party... so the ambiance was exceptional.

these are the cakes when lit up by the candles ( note: the cake with the car was a special order from a bakery shop)

it turned out that the birthday bash was only a decoy to a marriage proposal...oh how sweet...

CONGRATULATIONS to the both of U!!!

we went home at about 11pm leaving all those youngsters & the still young at heart to bogey the night away... cos the next morning we had a paintball tournament at Tanamera (in actual fact those staying behind too were involved in the tournament!).

& this is how we looked the morning after the nite b4!! hahahha...

& the one in pink is our darling pet sis...CT.
almost everyone involved in the tournament who went to the party the nite b4 came in late & some even had hangover...especially the king of the night the team captain Mash Bangers! muahahaha...

we had a pretty wicked day that day even though some can barely open their eyes!

& this video i made especially for Mash...& it's called sMASHed!

& that pretty wrapped up my weekend & pretty much every one else' s, i guess....
