Angry & Angrier Whopper Burger @Burger King

always a sucker to Burger King's Promotions...we decided to try their latest market experiment promo:
the new Burger King "Angry Whopper" with fiery sauce and "Angrier Whopper" with fiery sauce and chillies.

well the verdict... we were disappointed & became the 'Angriest' diners...;P
it's just basically whopper with additional slices of chilies...i 'm not even sure if could taste the fiery sauce (me hubby tried the Angry whopper & i tried the Angrier Whopper...) it was simply not fiery at all...i don't normally eat those chili slices if i could pick them out but seriously even with a layer or them i just don't think it's hot at all let alone fiery!  mehubby could not finish off his because it was laden with too much mayonnaise, which is definitely a turn off for him!!!
& nope, not gonna give a second try, that's for sure.

pregnant & disability!...

is being pregnant means u are disabled? or
does pregnancy makes u get the disability status?
how did i come to wonder about this issue...?cam ni citernye...
went to have lunch at Burger King today with mehubby (all due to the radio ad on Angry & Angrier Burger @ Burger King punye pasal!). it's during lunch hour so of courselah the parking lot was full at the front bits of the restaurant saved for a disabled parking slot...being very particular about this matter, we went round & round the parking area & finally found a legal vacant spot at the very end of the parking area. while walking in the baking hot sun towards the restaurant i had my eyes fixed on the disabled parking slot, thinking proudly... how civilized the patrons are...at least i thought no one tried to pretend to be one( disabled i mean)...as soon as i finished (thinking that is)a Nissan X-trail swung by confidently & parked. both mehubby & i quickly looked around for their disabled sticker on the wind screen & none was visible.  when the driver, an able body stepped out without a need of a wheelchair or crutches we started eyeing the passenger pulak...out came a woman who was visibly pregnant but not heavily pregnant...well i could see the bump there but not like she can't walk at all...anyway if she's going to have lunch at Burger King then there's no such emergency or disability is there, it's not like it's at the hospital!!? & the geram part was, they actually set in front of us in the diners & not have the slightest guilt on their face while munching on their Whoppers!!!:(

well, to me, being able to get pregnant is a GIFT certainly not a disability u s@#*head MoRoN!!! & walking is good for when u're pregnant or at the very least what they can do is if she's just too lazy to walk, the equally s@#*head hubby could have just dropped her off at the entrance & he goes off & look for a parking space~ selfish idiots!
my main concern was & still is...what happens when there's a real disabled someone who needed the parking slot most after those two S@##*heads selfishly parked their car there?

let's pray not, but try put urself in a disabled person's shoes...wouldn't u be needing an Angry or an Angrier burger!!??

other explanations to pregnancy symptoms...

for the life of me after Laith, the symptoms that i have been experiencing.... have always been: Other Explanations!;P
anyway, i came across this article & like to share...

Implantation Bleeding:

Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Other Explanations: Actual menstruation, altered menstruation, changes in birth control pill, infection, or abrasion from intercourse.

Delay / Difference in Menstruation:

A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period.

Other Explanations: Excessive weight gain/loss, fatigue, hormonal problems, tension, stress, ceasing to take the birth control pill, or breast-feeding.

Swollen/Tender Breasts:

Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance, birth control pills, impending menstruation (PMS) can also cause your breasts to be swollen or tender.

Feeling fatigued or more tired is a pregnancy symptom which can also start as early as the first week after conception.

Other Explanations: Stress, exhaustion, depression, common cold or flu, or other illnesses can also leave you feeling tired or fatigued.

Nausea/Morning Sickness:

This well-known pregnancy symptom will often show up between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women are fortunate to not deal with morning sickness at all, while others will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Food poisoning, stress, or other stomach disorders can also cause you to feel queasy.

Lower backaches may be a symptom that occurs early in pregnancy; however, it is common to experience a dull backache throughout an entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Impending menstruation, stress, other back problems, and physical or mental strains.

The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Dehydration, caffeine withdrawal, impending menstruation, eye strain, or other ailments can be the source of frequent or chronic headaches.

Frequent Urination:

Around 6-8 weeks after conception, you may find yourself making a few extra trips to the bathroom.

Other Explanations: Urinary tract infection, diabetes, increasing liquid intake, or taking excessive diuretics.

Darkening of Areolas:

If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance unrelated to pregnancy or may be a leftover effect from a previous pregnancy.

Food Cravings:

While you may not have a strong desire to eat pickles and ice cream, many women will feel cravings for certain foods when they are pregnant. This can last throughout your entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Poor diet, lack of a certain nutrient, stress, depression, or impending menstruation.

well, better luck to the rest of u....;)
sincerely me signing off.

no news is good news....but two news in a row??

after waiting for a longggggggg time.....yesterday 15th April 2010, i received a phone call from someone telling me about some good news...well partially good at least, since it's still not confirmed. what's the good news? hmmm.....it's still far down the road...but well, probably it's enough to say at this point.... there are still light at the end of the alleyway..or is it tunnel? arghhhh well...what i meant to say is...there is still hope somehow if u believe enough.
a lil later, mehubby received a rather similar partially good news from almost the same source but thru a different channel...WOW!!! isn't that most peculiar i wonder...although nothing is confirmed at this very moment, & not putting our hopes too high..we are excited at the prospect of what is coming.
whatever it is we can only wish, hope & pray...only GOD knows whats BEST.

Book xcess: New Look

since i've been busy with SunnyStar this last couple of months, have not had time to visit my fav book store: Book xcess for quite awhile. last week after we had the family sunday lunch at Kerry island, mehubby n i went there for just a lil browse... how we were almost disappointed seeing the shop was closed upon reaching the floor as it used to be right in front of the escalator. But as we turned to our right we were greeted by this familiar sign yet not at it's usual spot! the shop has indeed moved to a bigger shop lot & the books....!!! ahhhh...the books...& the price remains...get this...whatever price that u have to pay at the major book store per unit, u could get at least 2 here!! & the hard cover books are just so, so cheap.....
Book Xcess: u'll always be my fav bookstore, thank u.

Sugar & Caffeine overdosed child...

the reason why i did a lil research on this & bother to write this entry simply because i do care...
i see it happening over & over again everyday...i could just close one eye or even both my eyes if i'd want to but i can't...my heart bleeds when i see it happening. i've tried talk some senses to certain people but it's just as good as if i'm talking to a brick wall. some people may call it excessive pampering, but i think it's...hmmm...just another form of abuse...to the health of a barely 3 yo child.

thru my observation, this is what i see...
what the child wants, the child gets~ eating habit...

-'brushes' his teeth with lollipops as early a 6.45-7am;
- has some jam & bread for breakfast (please note: it's jam & bread NOT bread & jam);
- shares Nescafe / tea with the maids. sometimes he even gets his own lil mug for it...caught him dunking some 'tiger biscuits' in tea in his own lil mug yesterday. occasionally, he does drink Milo, thank GOD;
- prefers sweet cold flavoured drinks like; syrup or rootbear cordial, loves all type of soft drinks, this include the isotonic drink like 100+ & of course 7/11 Slurpee the most;
- eats mentos like rice;
- gets to eat ice cream as early as 10 in the morning;

he sometimes gets 2-3 lollipops & at least a tube of mentos a day...that does not include a lil chocolate in between....
i am no expert but i am worried for his health...i do. as much as i'd like to help i can't do much about it if the people who actually look after him & think they really care for him do not take this eating habit seriously...

so please....read the facts below...

Sugar, like fat, gets a lot of sour press, some deserved, some not. Babies are born with a sweet tooth. Human milk is quite sweet, so a child begins life making the connection between eating, drinking, and pleasure. Sugars are one form of carbohydrates and carbohydrates are good for you, as long as you eat the right kinds in the right amounts.

How Sugar Harms
The complex carbohydrates found in vegetables, grains, and fruits are good for you; the simple sugars found in sodas, candies, icings, and packaged treats can do harm, at least when eaten in excess. It's as simple as that. Here's why:
Excess sugar depresses immunity.

Sugar sours behavior, attention, and learning. Studies of the effects of sugar on children's behavior are as wildly contradictory as a sugar-crazed four-year-old after a birthday party, but the general consensus is that some children and adults are sugar-sensitive, meaning their behavior, attention span, and learning ability deteriorate in proportion to the amount of junk sugar they consume.

While studies show that activity levels go up in both hyperactive and normal children on high- sugar diets, the hyperactive children also become more aggressive. Adding protein to a high- sugar meal mellows out the behavioral and learning deterioration. Chalk up another point for eating a balanced breakfast.

Sugar promotes cravings. The more sugar you eat, the more sugar you want. A high sugar meal raises the blood glucose level, which triggers the outpouring of insulin. This excess insulin lingers in the system, triggering a craving for more sugar, thus adding another hill to the roller coaster ride.

Coffee won't affect a child's growth, but too much caffeine doesn't belong in a child's diet. Excess caffeine can prevent the absorption of calcium and other nutrients.

Almost 90% of adults and 75% of kids consume caffeine daily in their diet. While occasional caffeine is acceptable, consuming excessive amounts regularly can be detrimental to your health.

The result of caffeine addiction is that you can develop a whole host of health complaints. Excessive caffeine has been linked to hypertension, headaches, jitteriness, dizziness, tremors, insomnia, fine motor control impairment and even problems with fetal development.

Symptoms of Fatal Caffeine Poisoning in a Child

Caffeine poses a danger to children and adults of all agesToo much caffeine can accelerate heart rates, cause seizures and eventually result in death. Children are especially prone to caffeine poisoning. Watch for the symptoms and, if you suspect poisoning, get immediate medical attention for the child.

  1. Heart Rate: A high intake of caffeine will cause a rapid or irregular heartbeat. An irregular heart beat can cause death and should be treated in an emergency room immediately.
  2. Breathing: Babies with caffeine poisoning will take rapid, deep breaths. Older children may experience discomfort breathing, difficulty drawing breath and wheezing.
  3. Feeling sick: Nausea, vomiting, fever, diarrhea and a stomachache are all symptoms of caffeine poisoning in children.
  4. Excitement: Excitement and restlessness are indicators of caffeine toxicity.
  5. Tenseness: Muscles may alternate between being very tense and very relaxed. Involuntary tremors, convulsions, seizures and muscle twitching may also occur.
  6. Delirium: Mild delirium, including insomnia, hallucinations, and other neurological symptoms, may accompany caffeine poisoning. Confusion and dizziness are common.                                                By Nicole Thelin
"As little as three-fourths of a can of caffeinated soda makes kids act out," says researcher Alan R. Hirsch, MD, neurological director of the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago.

On teacher questionnaires, first graders were much more likely to be 'squirmy', impudent and sassy, and attention seeking if they drank caffeinated soda. The caffeine also made the children want to drink more too. So, no caffeine!
