Melaka Trip~ the endless waiting activities.

back from family Melaka trip yesterday...am just so tired to the bone from all the waiting activities.

lemme share the itinerary on my part from the top...

Saturday 11/12/2010


6am: wakey-wakey, rise & shine sweetpea!

7am: left Shah Alam for Kota Damanasara- had Breakfast.

8-930am: waited (@cc) with laith for mehubby- had an early morning meeting

930-1030am:  rushed back to semenyih thinking that everyone would be waiting for us to leave for melaka...hmmm fat chance!!

1030am: most people were still in pajamas when we arrived. was told that A - Famosa Check- in was not until 4pm ~4 FREAKING pm!?

1030am-130pm: waited (updated my blog on Motor show) for people to arrive, for everybody to get ready, for people to finish packing, for people to get all the things ie wardrobes, bathrooms, bedrooms, pharmacies, office, sports & recreations, library & kitchens to fit into & arranged them in  the three cars that were going...

130-145pm: waited (with mehubby) for everyone to aboard the cars...

145pm:  left semenyih for melaka...finally!

230pm: stopped at the crowded- hard to find parking space~seremban rest area for lunch ( mehubby & i didn't feel like eating)so we waited (reading, going online n stuff) in the car...

230-330pm: since the rest area was crowded it's inevitably hard to find vacant spots to eat too...hence the waiting...continued...

330-430pm: arrived at A famosa...yeay!! my wishful thinking was that the waiting's over...

430-450pm: went round & round the place looking for the check -in place~ the car park was unbelievably full...

450-530: waited (with Jeffrey Archer in hand)to be checked in...slowly but surely the cars that were parked before & after us were slowly leaving for their villas...about this time too we were told that there was some miscommunications during the booking~instead of 2 (3 bedrooms) villas which would accommodate the 6 separate units of the family comfortably to just one (3 bedrooms) villa. aiyaiyai...howlah like that? ;{

after much (family) discussions (& more waiting (with JA again)on my part), arguing, threatening, pleading & begging with the management, we were told that the villas were all fully booked...it's sorry (sir )no cure..
mehubby suggested that: mePIL, jomey & aishah (it's their first family trip together), eyna & family plus laith stayed behind while we both & kry go look for somewhere else to stay (thinking that the chances were pretty slim since Miti was having some kind of trade expo/ fair whatever there in ayer keroh) or the three of us will just head home...which we didn't mind doing at all....we've been to A- Famosa before ~(the been there done that sort of things..so it's ok) it's just more to the children's benefit since it's school holiday, that is all that matters...

555pm: mePIL were not very keen on us leaving so mehubby said let's go have a look see at the villa first then.

555-6pm: reached the villa, the kids were instantly (fell) in(to) the pool the moment they stepped out of the cars!

6-615pm: everyone started to claim their rooms. Jomey instantly stake a claim on the master bedroom since it's his first family trip being married (in the past he forever had to share a room with either mePIL, the kids or other means of sleep arrangements available for him) so was mePIL & Eyna n Family. k. mimi was to sleep outside in the hall n that left us..mehubby & i plus kry (minus su since she was not able to make it at the very last minute for this trip due to some unavoidable circumstances) no where to stay...after much coaxing n bribing on mePIL's part~ we agreed to look for toto/ travel (folding) mattresses/ comforter to sleep on...in short- became squatters! ;P

615-7pm: mehubby joined the kids in the pool. feeling lightheaded from all the waiting since morning, i decided to try have a forty winks but of course the bedrooms were out of questions since they have all been claimed, the sofas were also occupied with people watching tv & munching & chatting...i joined in at the available seat  & tried hard to nap..failed to do so i read the paper....

* around  about this time too the much n long awaited news arrived....(that'll be on entirely different post...so stay tune!:)  

730pm: after maghrib: meMIL, kry , mehubby & i went out to ayer keroh looking for Jaya Jusco...(went all the way to melaka only to look for Jaya Jusco was just insane!) but sleeping means needed to be arranged pronto.

730-810pm reached JJ melaka & started looking for some bedding material...& finally settled for this....nice kan!?

 but.... don't be fooled..

meMIL said, as a consolation for not getting a room on this trip, she bought us the set...hmmm not a bad bargain at all hey!!:D

about an hour later & after we had waited for kry to buy some dinner we headed home....

so there... u basically got the idea...we waited for almost everything... from the long wait in the traffic (Melaka was surprising busy that night / weekend) to the wait to use the washrooms (there's just one common bathroom & another ensuite to the master bedroom for all of 10 adults & 4 children to use), waited for ppl to get up in the morning the next day, waited for the kids to have another 'quick deep' in the pool, waited for the breakfast, waited to go to the water world, waited to redeem the tickets, waited in the ques, waited to go for lunch, waited for pple to come out from the parking lot (at mahkota Parade), waited for the food (at nando's) to arrive, waited for everyone to go around (window shopping!)at the mall...(hmmm..while at the same time other pple were waiting for us too! err...that doesn't count cos we waited for them first...;P  ) waited for someone to negotiate for the beca fare, waited for the boat for the river cruise,  waited for ppl to use the loo, waited to for a car or 2 which got lost in the traffic, waited to have our dinner at the seafood restaurant ready, waited to get home and get some rest....so there u go lots of waiting for hmmm... absolutely no reasons sometimes because no one can't make up their mind of what to do next...(that's what happens when traveling more than 2 or 3 people at a time...so just bare the wait Sunny!)

guess the only time other people were truly waiting for us was when we took the kids to the water park...cos other times like when we went out to play golf the rest went to the safari, animal show & stuff...

ok now i can't wait to publish this post n move on to another post...

MotorShow 2010~ Jebat the out cast

took the kids to the motor show 2010 @ PWTC last wednesday. 

ok i'm not gonna bother writing much about the cars since what do i know about cars hey! it's not even about how  among the 3 kids (laith, mike & sam) only sam seemed excited & showed much interest during the show. well... after all there's so much write up / news about it (go google it urself for that) anyway... write up were all the same with the main attraction being of the presence of bumblebee...

what i like to write about here is that proton...

 

for all it's' glory' ...managed to label, discriminate & outcast it's own creation just because of the stereotypical notion of history. 

just have a look at how the 5 best of friends~ Hang Tuah, Hang, Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir & Hang Lekiu  were being  unfairly displayed.

Tuah was grandly displayed on a rotating stage complete with  it's Girl Guardian...

Kasturi get's an equally grand display too...,

Lekir is Lotus ... is not far behind... got a cool stage display...

Lekiu who was dubbed as being Jebat's accomplice of  some sort ( if i got the fact right) got a berricade... but no stage & no girl guarding it...

& finally...

ladies & gentlemen please give a round of applause to JEBAT yang HEBAT..... !!!!

Ehhh......no rotating stage let alone a stage or even a raised up platform, No Girl Guard, NOT EVEN A BARRICADE!??  if that's not enough insult, it was being displayed at the very far end of the 5!!?? oh Come On!!

to me, despite his misguided cruel methods, he is the real hero who believed that Tuah was being unjustly treated  or murdered by the one ruler he blindly & loyally obeyed! Hello........ Wake UP People!!!

ok, proton may not be my choice of car...ishhh..ade hati nak berlagak!! but if i was given a choice to pick among the 5, i'll  definitely go for JEBAT without a doubt.

ATC Swap

ATC Swap?  what in heaven's name is ATC Swap? it simply means Artist Trading Card Swap hosted  by mysara  from mangosteenskin a blog that i follow. apart from painting on faces i've done not much drawing or painting on paper lately....
so this is kinda fun when i found out.
i used water color pencils for easy handling since it's a 2.5x 3.5 inches in size.  it's more or less like doing cheek art .

The Sun has an OWNER???

WTF??? i practically turned green when i read the news article!!!

 

 a (lunatic) woman in Spain claims that she owns the sun & had it registered under her name at her local notary office (what is so powerful about her local notary office, again? one may ask) & thinking of imposing taxes on everyone for the use of 'her Sun'! is she out of her freaking mind, who the hell does she thinks she is?

GOD created the earth, the sun & all the other celestial bodies & not forgetting all men & women free of charge & out of HIS own creation came along this freak of a woman & claims that the Sun belongs to her? oh & not only that she 's thinking of charging everyone for the share of it! *__*

here are some interesting comments that i found online...

* Does she know that if she can actually own the sun, she is opening herself up to all kinds of  lawsuits?

* So if she owns the sun, that means everyone who get sunburns and skin cancer from it can sue her. Bet she didn't think of that

* Not only that, all people in the world would claim " They don't want the sun rays and stop the rays reaching home OR pay the compensation.

* home owners would claim the roof  & air conditioner expenses from her. 

 

* Right... Whats the contact details. I want to sue for damages. I got sun burn, the paint on my car is fading due to sun damage, my gr*** is dying and burning, i can't sleep during the day cuz of light. I want $10 mill for damages and inconvenience as well as another $10 mill for future damage. Should the owner not remove her property from my garden further law suits will be filed.

I would also suggest to forum of our city that i have found the one responsible for the recent outbreak of runaway and field fire in the country.

* Excellent, now I know where to send my compensation claim for sunburn. People who own huge great fireballs in the sky should be more responsible.

* Has the world gone mad? How can you own a star millions of light years away? The sun is free for all to enjoy and we should be careful how we use it. I live in Spain and suntan every year and if you think I am ever going to pay for the privilege, you are joking!!!

* my skin cancer is about 10000 dollars for treatment, so where do I send my bill. The Sun is responsible for the computer and satellite disruptions for my cellfone, so now I can send my complaints too; and I really would like to have summer year-round, so how do I get her to turn up the sundial to keep my plants and landscaping projects from dying this winter-- can I stop now?

*Fair enough, now we know who to invoice for all damage and chaos to communications caused by sunspots. We can also sue her for sunburn on the basis that she failed to control the amount of UV emanating from the sun etc, etc. She wants to claim ownership, she has to accept responsibility.

*i'm suing her for rampant melanoma and global warming. seriously though, this woman is stupider than sarah palin. I CAN SEE THE SUN FROM MY BACKYARD!

now that we know who owns the sun (that freak~ Angeles Duran & she certainly is famous that everyone is talking about her now, if that's what she's after), who's gonna register the ownership of GOD??? any takers? uuhh...would that be considered blasphemy? u tell me ms Duran since u so " know the law"!!!

Laith's rite- of- passage into manhood with Sunathrone

 

 

after a day full of activities, basketball in the morning, berendam at sungai tekala at midday and playing PS2 with mike & sam while killing the time... tibalah masanye untuk...

hahaha...this is the one song that i remember me elder brother Along always sings ever since my other brothers, cousins & other relatives turned to meet the tok mudim in the old days  and to all my nephews these days...lucky for laith though meAlong was not around to scare the lil banana out of him with that hellahorror song....xD

anyway unlike the song above, the appointment was made for 4 pm at Poliklinik An- Nisa' in semenyih. No. there was no sunat beramai-ramai thing held there. we wanted to have it done quickly so not to stress laith out & that he has more time to recover before going on our short melaka holiday in couple of weeks time.

for laith (well not that we have any other sons do we), we've chosen to use the latest technique in circumcision that is the Sunathrone method. invented by Dr Mohd Tasron Surat~hence the clever adaptation & combination of the word "sunat" & his own name into a medical-sounding term!

this method is claimed to be quick, very little blood, less pain but of course not painless or pain free lah ye... &  very fast healing. (ok i'm not being paid for this but thru my observation, yeah it was very quick) & was lucky to have Dr. Tasron himself to perform the Sunat.

personal comment on the Sunthrone Method: .. ok not that i know of any other methods or experienced (thank GOD) it myself but from my observation with Laith he was able to wear his Bermuda  pants that very same night at home..& was able to play basketball 3 days later.
