Padded pop: from xs to XL and back.

i inherited Baba's body frame whom in turn inherited my Nene's body frame whom i have no clue who'd she inherited her petite body frame from for obvious reason i've never met my great grandparents so i wouldn't know, ie... i don't get fat or rather would and should never get fat... but...see the shadow in the pix?  even the shadow about a year ago says that i've gone nicely padded all around!

the shadow says it all >.<
if anyone should take the responsibility of blame, it's kak Mimi, she fattens me up with her Lauk Jawa everyday! yeah i love her to bits but yeah totally blame her for my padded frame. d(^0^)b

have u ever realize that the last people to notice that u've gain some kilos are the closest to u and the people whom you seldom see are the ones to notice?
in my case obviously, i noticed (since early 2014) when  i can hardly fit into my jeans, the buttons on my work shirts were popping, i've always need to suck in my tummy when i wear my tight fitted tops, my XS size golf skirt slowly turned Small, after which i had to make do with Medium then L and to my horror quickly after that i had to feel comfortable in XL!! one good thing came out of it was that i didn't have to wear padded bras or even push up bras...they just ballooning blossom naturally @-@

going shopping with myubby becomes very uncomfortable when he insisted that he'd helped me look for the sizes. so i'll take the L/XL and let him look for the S/ M sizes for me to try on...hahahah...
u can run u can hide but the shadow will always find u

myubby whom i see everyday of course has been hinting for awhile but i just brush it off with."am i  not more 'cuddleble' now?  i was of course  in denial and he was just too smart to counter that.

then one day, myFIL whom i see everyday casually said in front of myubby "DIL, u've put on kilos!" i was stunned that he noticed and myubby was like" see Bah also notices". i was horriFAT!

a couple weeks later myMIL, whom i  also see everyday pointed out loud "U've gained quite some kilos haven't u DIL!" i almost bolted out the window at that very moment if i wasn't too padded up to squeeze through it.b(>.<)b

late November 2014, we were invited to a wedding. an excellent excuse for me to find a new dress, i said.   browsing through the sizes of one particular design, cutting and the material i  was confident i would at least fit into the L size but, no matter how much i sucked in and hold me breath in, L size was just a mission impossible. so i walked out the shop with head bow low, cheeks so red that i don't even remember putting any  blusher on when i left home that day,  eyes fixed on the floor  with the XL size dress in my hand -__________-

browsing through the photos of the wedding later, almost gave me one heart attack to another was the turning point..
realizing that my thighs say hello to each other and start a conversation every steps that i take, that i was huffing and puffing taking one flight of staircase up to and from my bedroom, myubby cheekily reminds me to tilt my head up so not to show my double chin was just way too much.

so i told myself enough is enough
after hours of online  research for the best diet programs; almost bought myself those online 'Best Diet Program" that is on offer for just one day only. after consulting with  New Atkins New You book that i bought for charity from my SIL's office.
I made a new years resolution that i would go on Atkin's diet starting on the first of Jan 2015 at 62kg.
62!!!!?? haihh...

starting diligently with the 2 weeks Intro program  followed by phase two soon after that. i am well into my 8th month on Atkins now and am comfortably maintaining my 50kg and back at wearing my size S Shirts, Skirts, Shorts and dresseS.

SkinnySunny signing off. :D

THIS IS WAR! Dusk Till Dawn - series 1 (31July-1August)

Time: Saturday @ 21:00 - Sunday @ 03:00
Location: Tbun CC Aman Suria
Info~What is it All About: Company Of Heroes & Call Of Duty: World at War & Modern Warfare multi-player frag fest galore yo!!!
(in short~it's a computer game!!)
well that's what happened last weekend to the gang of Big Boys( a mixture of our paintball mates & mutual friends-organised by me BIL Kerry) ~ mehubby &mebaby included.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
we seriously had a long, longggggggg weekend. all kind of activities cramp in one.here i simply put em in points.
*started off with us having nasi kerabu breakfast in semenyih ( the best  we found in the area).
* then, laith & i went to my niece's bertunang in Shah Alam while me hubby had his St' John's reunion in PJ.
*went to Amcorp mall for books @ book xcess & bought that double- decker 2 volumes MAD compilation.
* went to  Aman Suria & had din-din at that so called "Sedap"~ (biasa-biasa je sebenarnye) nasi kandar mamak.
* Kerry & Sue arrived, Kerry joins the gamer's dinner party, sue & i head down to the Curves konon-berangan nak ber karaoke together with Siti. tapi hampa belaka cos it's saturday nite so all rooms are booked up sampai pagi. phewwh lega!!! wasn't really looking forward to menyeksakan deria pendengaran mereka-mereka yang terlibat.
*so plan B was to go Urut kaki at the emerald spa near Tbun Aman Suria after sue & siti had theirr dinner.
* went around looking for kekosongan tempat & ended up layparking at the Apartment.  the Shepard's pie sue ordered was yummy but i already had my sedap dinner at that sedap mamak...erkk.. sounds tak sedap betul kan! so i only had some drinks.
was excited to run into(or rather she saw & waved & called and shouted to daun keladi~ tak perasan lansung!) for me into Raz my best friend at uni. it was a quick touch & go sort of reunion cos she was heading home already. been along-long time since i saw her personally face to face except in facebook. yeah will definitely make an effort to go meet up soon. ..errgh me is so terrible at keeping in touch.
*so we( Sue, Y & Siti (b4 she too had to leave) stayed at the Apartment until the waiters  told us they'r taking last order.
* thinking the tempat urut kaki was still open we headed back to Aman Suria & found out that the place was already closed for the nite. so we ended up at that lil penang restaurant nearby & order more drinks & laksa soup for sue.
 we turned out to be the last customers sebab they had to wait for us to finish up & leave b4 they can actually pull down the grill...heheehe..poor thing.
*not knowing what else to do we went into TBun & start playing games too! ;P
* the boys finally finished at about 4am & we all went back to that sedap nasi kandar and eat again...practice bersahurlah kononye....
*we finally got home at 530am & went straight to bed sampai lah kul 1230 tengahari...had lunch with english breakfast~ sausage, eggs suny side up, bake beans & toast. :P
* we did Dvds merathon~the Unthinkable (uhh- suspen giler tengok citer nih), when in Rome ( not bad though Romantic comedy always ends with predictable ending), copout ( i ended up dozed off at this one...i think it's kinda drag).
*for dinner, we tried this Seri Intan restaurant in pekan semenyih. not bad at all i would say. the kueh tiew ladna was great, the sate kambing was good too....
* after we picked up laith's yet another new pair of glasses, went home got everything ready for laith's school tomorrow, tuck him into bed went down watch Public enemy on cable & zzzzzzzzzzzzz for the nite.
 i'm starving....need some lunch now.
Book xcess: New Look
since i've been busy with SunnyStar this last couple of months, have not had time to visit my fav book store: Book xcess for quite awhile. last week after we had the family sunday lunch at Kerry island, mehubby n i went there for just a lil browse... how we were almost disappointed seeing the shop was closed upon reaching the floor as it used to be right in front of the escalator. But as we turned to our right we were greeted by this familiar sign yet not at it's usual spot! the shop has indeed moved to a bigger shop lot & the books....!!! ahhhh...the books...& the price remains...get this...whatever price that u have to pay at the major book store per unit, u could get at least 2 here!! & the hard cover books are just so, so cheap.....
Book Xcess: u'll always be my fav bookstore, thank u.
Bargain Sales- BiG BaD Wolve book Sales vs MST golf warehouse sales
i had every intention to buy lots & lots of books at the book sales yesterday as opposed to mehubby who had from the very beginning was so looking forward to the golf sales since he thought it's high time for him to change his irons (golf) set.
well....let's just say it's just not meant to be... GOD had planned something different for me.
since we had to go to CIMBank Kelana Jaya branch we decided to head down to the golf sales first since it's just around the area. i hadn't plan to buy anything except & only except if they have cool bargains on golf caps or nice pair of sun shades..NO shirts, NO golf skorts (shorts that looks like skirts) NO anything else....simply N.O~ so i told myself...& what do i know.....
as i entered the main entrance i saw the most super- ultra- cool pair of golf shoes with an extremely super cool cut down price ( 50% cut down plus another 10% as MST i love golf member) that my jaw dropped right down at my feet! arghhhhhh......must be love at first sight.
Driver Lucy by Adidas
wearing my Driver Lucy the next day during my morning round.
i didn't even bother to pep talked myself that i do need a pair of new shoes, i just told myself i WANTED those shoes, end of story. they may not look anything like an ordinary golf shoes, & that's why i love it & they are amazingly comfortable. mehubby thinks they're cool too... so that's a plus!
mehubby on the otherhand, didn't get what he had in mind, ended up buying a few packets of tees , few pairs of gloves & a cap, BORING!!!!;P
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
next on agenda was to Amcorp mall, the one sale that i thought i was so looking foward to...well as i mention earlier, GOD had other plans!!;P

no doubt that most books were priced at RM8 each but they're mostly from unknown, unheard of authors. & a big portion of the sales was mostly school books.
i was very disappointed although mehubby did buy a few, i didn't find anything i like.

to those who love Sherilyn Kenyon...they're only RM8! (sorry picture bit blurry)

how we summed up the BIG BAD WOLF book sales: it is neither BIG nor Bad enough to our liking. but then again it's always the matter of preferences, i might not find anything interesting but other people might have. that's what life is all about hey!

The BIG BAD Book Sale

i received an email from my aunt about this. didn't care to check the date i thought it has in fact started last week.
managed to get mehubby to bring me to Amcorp mall yesterday coming back from shah alam only to be told it's only starting this coming Thursday the 26th NOvember -2nd December 2009.

well since i was already there, i bought a copy of Sophie Kinsella's Remember Me? for only RM17.90 at Book Xcess.
was dying to get more but i'll wait for a better bargain this coming book sale end of this week~this is one wolf that i like!

Breaking Dawn is just heartbreaking....

finished with my Twilight saga marathon finally, officially today! finally...

* thanks to my darling SIL eyna for her generosity in letting me unwrapped & read her still plastic wrapped copy. i love u long time sis, one Bournvile fine dark chocolate for u comin up!

The rational logical part of me say;

A world of make believe, a pure feel good fiction fantasy, there’s not much difference when u read Lord of the Rings, Narnia, inkheart or the like, when u are presented with all kinds of weird characters like the hobbits,the orcs or those graceful looking elves that we are well aware that do not actually exist in the real world, ie our world. So Stephenie Meyers had carelessly left some loopholes here & there that left me feeling like pulling my hair while reading this hopefully her final installments for the twilight saga, created some characters like the warewolves or the shape-shifter as it turn out to be at the later part of the story,

created something like the shark character ( that pledge not to eat fish) in Finding Nemo or the special gifted talent like those characters in the popular Heroes tv series for the vampires but I guess it’s her story, she’s the story teller, she writes what she wants. how she wants it to be.

this part contains spoiler: to those who have not the chance to read & plan to read, please do not read beyond this.

The irrational or illogical part of me say;

Bella just has to be Bella or Queen Bella pre & post vampire life, she just has to be the most extreme~ the klutz of the lot during her mortal life & the most composed newborn vampire ever existed...evryone's impressed~WOW!

Still the ungrateful whiney lil *btutch* character that has ever been created- she just has to find something wrong about her new transformed self somehow!

well, in the world of super lazy, the author just have to do some fast forwarding by making Bella pregnant during their honeymoon (i don't really mind that she married young but how she turned into a nymphomaniac is bizarre~ very unladylike!)

& it only took something like 4 weeks for her to carry the baby inside her- what is she, a vampire rabbit!? (* rabbits only take about 30-33 days to pregnancy, how i know?- i google it!).;P

how in the world did the author came up with the idea that if Bella wants babies ( Bella get's what Bella wants concept) she can actually have it with Jacob. this offer was made by Edward to Jacob as a favour or something~WTF!!!?

the imprinting part between Jacob & Renesmee is just utterly butterly ridiculous, & to imagine that she grows up much faster than any other ordinary human being, that in 6 years she'll be fully grown up....what's next? a love story about the vampire hybrid & Jacob the warewolve/ shape-shifter then?

this is hilarious~ "someone is going to have to provide an index* (*see page 756)"~Jacob's comment when he was surrounded by a company of vampires with various exotic names.

i guess too lazy to rake her ( SMeyer) brain for more drama, Charlie (bella's dad) seems to be able to accept what Jacob is, turn a blind eye on what Edward could be & possibly what Bella has turned herself into, when he was the one who had provided her with a paper spray for safety measure!

& this super confession of undying love~ Bella to Edward: "No one's ever loved anyone as much as I love you." oh pleaseeeeeeee..............!!!! come on, i'm pretty sure she( the author) can come up with a better line than that!!!!

i'm quite dissapointed with the ending too.... after collecting over a dozen of 'friendly' vampires with various talents & abilities to fight against the voulturi, nothing really happened in the end....except for the execution of Irina...hmmm...who is Irina again???

in general, Breaking Dawn is much more well balanced in terms of the character buildings
, almost every one gets to be in the story compared to the last two series (New Moon & Eclipse).

this is my summary of the 4 books;

4) Breaking Dawn surely broke my heart,
3) Eclipse, Bella character is just unspeakable...
2) New Moon is a drag....too much Jacob, not much Edward.
1) Twilight is definitely the best of the four!

anyway at the end of the day like i said in my rational logical part above, u can either love it or hate it- read it or leave it!!!

i'll watch New Moon & the sequels (the movie) regardless... only because of Edward Cullen, nothing more! ;P

Eclipse halloween weekend

i thought what better things to do during one hormone- loaded to the max moment during a Halloween weekend then to read the third installment in the Twilight saga~ Eclipse (borrowed from my darling SIL Eyna)! hmmm....& that's not necessarily a good hmmm...ok, hmmm.....

started reading the 1st few chapters on Friday & i finished the whole book on Sunday at about 3am! ;D
the reason why i can't put the book down was that i just can't wait to get it done & over it mostly because i just can't stand Bella Swan any longer! i guess i just have to lick my words back on my last comment (in my last entry) when i wrote about Bella Swan being reasonably adorable in the book ( Twilight) then in the movie. damn she's just so equally- unbearably- annoyingly whiny ~ bloody self centered & greedy lil *btutch*!!! u know the kinda character that u just wanna grab her out of the book & give her a damn good smacking in the face type? yeah that's exactly what i felt like doing.
wonder what those 2-Edward Cullen & Jacob Black see so special in her now! ;P

the book (Eclipse) in general is much more interesting & happening compared to the 2nd series~NewMoon-
took me almost a week to read that one cos it's such a drag & full of emotions~ but not much actions involved~ boring.... & not much Edward Cullen too, boring!!!!
now i really am wondering what's the movie is gonna be like....hmmm.....

Twilight the movie vs Twilight the novel...

i watched Twilight the movie by accident with my son Laith ( the ticket for the movie( i don't remember what now) that i was to take him watch was sold out) so we opted to watch Twilight instead. didn't regret the choice at all...& luckily it was rated PG13 for Laith to be able to watch.
of course at first i thought it was about those blood curdling gory type of movie that i don't usual enjoy watching, but surprisingly turn out to be a forbidden romance of two worlds type...i like!!!
somehow the sexy vampire characters in Twilight are more or less similar but a modern version to the Interview with the Vampire movie only of different genre of course. but sexy all the same!!!

ok now the vs part...
i've just finished reading the novel that i bought from the book fair...

surprisingly (unlike all my movies vs the books experieces), the film- the dialogs, the plots though skipped, enhanced, exaggerated or changed a lil here & there...was like watching a summary of the novel. only Bella Swan sounds more adorable in the book then the little annoying Bella Swan in the movie. Edward Cullen...need i say more...the character in the movie fits the novel character perfectly... biased i know... but oh well deal with it! ;p

i have now started on the next series~New Moon, now it makes me curious what's the film would be like...

Pearson & Penguin's Book fair..

Wow i'm so outdated!!!
been feeling awfully sickly lately.....

been awhile now i know since i last updated this lil space of mine but i simply do not have the strength or the will power to update...

ok just a lil what's been going on since my last post;

-> after my doctor's appointment, went to this brilliant Penguin's & Pearson's book fair with mehubby couple of weeks back( it's their 1st day) . Ahhhhhhhh heaven!!!
just look at those books!!

the Twilight series (unfortunately they only had Twilight & New Moon) which would normally cost about RM36/- only costs me RM10/- & for the squeals~New Moon (u/p RM46), i got it for only RM15/-!!! is that bargain or is that bargain!!??

the dictionary of quotations - onlyRM20/- yeay!!!

mehubby's choices of books are mostly about wars & the like...

the selections of books that we bought...

for those who love the little black dress ( the modern days mills & boon) series...what can i say...only RM10/- each!!

children's books islands

& one of mehubby's 'bestest' bargain book of the day...is that of Star Wars Voult which normally priced at about RM380/- costs him RM80/- only!!!

wish i had more strenght to go thru each and every baskets & boxes isles that they have but it was just too much for me to handle...so we left, but not without almost RM400 worth of books between us!!!

it's a definite heaven for book lover!!

Books....& more books @ Book Xcess.com

been whining to me hubby for the last couple of weeks that i had ran out of books to read inside & outside the bathroom hahaha.. well actually not really for bathroom material, cos for that i could read any backdated issues of whatever magazines available on route... yesterday he said we'll stop by at my fav. bookshop after our weekly visit to my parents in shah alam. Yeay, i love u babee!!!!

so today after shah alam as promised, we went there~Book Xcess @ amcorp mall~ http://www.bookxcess.com ~it's a place where u can find new books at half the price u pay for at MPH, Borders or popular book stores. their new books just arrived yesterday so it was heaven!!! my fav. authors Jeffrey Archer & Robert Ludlum's are both in store double yeay!!!

the store's concept is basically, whatever books (titles or authors)that are on shelves are what u get. it's more or less like a reject shop for the books which is probably a little dented or damage on the cover that do not fit the shelves of those major bookstores. but it's usually minor tear here & there on the cover so it's not that much of a problem to me. it's still pleasurable to read however the cover looks, hence the saying~ don't judge a book by it's cover` applies. Even though sometimes i couldn't find the books that i'm looking for but i don't mind it a bit cos there are plenty more books on the shelves & on the floor to choose from... there are times i simply buy any books that the manager recommends (sometimes by authors that i've never heard of b4)& i ended up loving them anyway...

so on this visit, i ended up buying 2 Robert Ludlum's (the Bourne Betrayal & Bourne Legacy) even though these 2 Bourne sequels were actually written by Eric Van Lustbader,i think these two will be as exciting as the first 3 original sequels anyway. one Jeffrey Archer's~ A prisoner of Birth, (each only priced @RM17.90 as oppose to the RM32.90-RM36.90 at those major bookstores), one purchase with purchse book @ only RM9.90~ The Godmother- by an author~Carrie Adams~ whom i'm not very familiar with though i've heard of her b4)

& one book for Laith~ Inkheart by Cornelia Funke also @RM17.90 though i very much suspected that i will be the one who ended up reading the book knowing my son very well.. he only likes the idea of buying- be it books (or toys)...!!!;P
however hard i try to instill the habit of reading in him... it only lasted for a few pages of almost every books accept for those picture storybooks (spiderman, star wars & the like)... & the books will be seen collecting dust somewhere..everywhere...around the house..
& now with Inkheart..how ironic- it's a book about people who love to read & just simply love books...i hope he will find it pleasurable to finish it eventually!

so if u love books u'd love book xcess.com... go check out the place!

as for me..i have books for my bedroom, one for the car, one in my bag & another in the office...so i'm of reading me books now yo!:D

happy reading...
