Branding...the same product of different brands

i dont write about politics nor do i like to get involve in it. seriously, it's such a waste of time...yes, as a citizen i will perform my right to vote in this GE13 but to choose the party...hmmm...is there any much different from one party to another? i wonder...

personally, to me..it's just like the same product from the same factory but wrapped in different packaging n branding..

Lost and Gone :'(

Yesterday, was the 4th of Ramadhan and what did i feel like doing...? hmmm...extreme generosity was best to  describe. after accompanying mehubby for his med check at the hospital in the afternoon. i went off running some errand. the last stop was to the post office for a bill that is not possible to be made payment online. while filling in the cheque, i put my beloved 7 month old Samsung Galaxy (a birthday present from mehubby) on the counter. then, i waited for my number to come up ~DiNG 1 0 4 7~ WooHoo that was fast i thought. once done i headed back to the car to go...but oh wait...i forgot... to ask about this Western Union International money transfer that i was meaning to ask the clerk about...but then i thought...oh well i'll come back tomorrow...

when i went back to the office mehubby then told me that we were to break our fast with my little sick niece Pink and my BIL at the hospital so i said ok baybeh...then i went about doing my business...
to cut the story short, when we were about to leave for the hospital my SIl was telling me that she's been calling me but that it's gone straight to voice mail n i was like huh what r u taking about?, my pho..ne is...Where the dotdotdotdot  is my PHONE? (promise no swearing during Ramadhan, Sunny!)

in denial, i searched the office, the car, the rooms (while mehubby tried to call the phone which too went straight into voice mail)...in vAiN...half zombie like i sat next to my hubby in the car and backtrack what i did, where i went, what i did & where i stopped that afternoon. OHEMMMGEE....i left my phone at the POST Bl**** OFFICE!!!! it was already 6pm and there wasn't time for us to go back there and check since we had to bit the traffic if we wanted to get to the hospital on time for iftar though i wasn't really into eating anymore....

so people say, it's not the phone that we're worried about, we can always get a new phone or that it's the best excuse to get a new phone and blahblahblah and blahblahblah...it's the contacts in there so they said...yeah try that sentiment when it happens to them one day...let's just hope no one else have to face what i just did.
as for me apart from it's sentimental value, the contacts in there, my thought's, my ideas, my goofy-syok sendiri pictures~the best i could remember...thank God none were controversial ones though (so i hope ;P), my personal expenses, my personal journal about things that are 'unbloggable'. and oh dear my bitching with my besties thru text msgs...my hard to find songs in my micro sd card, my personal reminder, my various alarm reminder (for prayer, for sahur, for Laith's bed time, for Laith's school, tuition, kumon and to remind me to take my memory booster) my dreams, my plans my lists of to do things (daily basis) plus my bucket list...and the list of things in there can just go on and on and on....:'(

i feel naked and exposed...;'(
* now i hope u read this post  u son/ daughter of whatever...(* personal reminder~no swearing Sunny!)  that u also have my all 3 account numbers all ~ Hong Leong, Public Bank and Maybank, just deposit RM200 into each account every month for the rest of ur life, thank u.

imagine the hassles u have to go thru when u lost ur phone.

first things first, i called the telco to cancel the service ( which i will have to apply for a new sim card provided i have a phone that i can insert the sim card in, that is), then i changed all the passwords for all my Gmail accounts-4 all together (my business, my general, my personal, my extra personal accounts..hehehe...) ...which i have sync to the phone, my facebook account (just one), my twitter account and all my blahblahblah other accounts...phewh i managed to change all of 'em before my phone beneficiary got their hands into messing my life with any one of them accounts... *____* so i guess they were not smart enough to figure out how to decode n reset the smart phone hey!

this morning, i went back to the post office just for a closure. it's always 50-50 chance in getting it back...wishful thinking it maybe but there's no harm in trying right...plus it's the month of Ramadhan, who would steal during the holy month right? WRONG!!!
NOPE, no one found it and handed it back to the post office people and basically the post office people denied any knowledge of any phone being left behind yesterday...  ~END~ .

although it wasn't voluntarily, i've probably made someone's day yesterday, so that was probably good too..on my expense -____-

i keep reminding myself that it's just a small test from the Almighty. it was just a phone (regardless that all my personal n business contacts in there) NOT me darling hubby that i still get to lie next to at night or me one and only Laith that i get to see him off to school in the morning and fetch him home from school in the afternoon and say good nite to at bedtime or anyone of my family members or even my health that he decided to take away from me yesterday...Alhamdulillah...
Praise to God too that there are food on my plate that i still get to eat during iftar and sahur, there is still roof over my head, the country is not at war or on natural disaster.... count on ur blessings Sunny!

just hope that my phone beneficiary will look after my virtual families that i've been looking after for the last 21 generations well fed, kept and housed. my fantasy town that i have been working on at level 26. Oh please have a heart, don't post those pictures when i was at the waterfall in Facebook k.

as for now while i start saving up for my next swanky phone, i'll make do with the one that i could throw at that dishonest thieving 'S O' that has taken ownership of my very own personal assistant...if ever..

Have a grand day u people...
Taa.

if u're not a ballet dancer/ ballerina...

  picture taken from here

Recently, i went to have some 'teh tarik' with a group of friends. We chatted n chatted from one topic to another. Since there are a few married couple in the group inevitably the 'intimate' topic popped up.  Suddenly, somebody excitedly announced that so and so's fiancee is a ballet dancer/ instructor and that upon hearing that piece of information and accordingly , everyone of so n so's male's friends' jaws drop( complete with facial expression). this somebody continued with a remark " Lucky Bas3rd!".
Upon hearing that (i wasn't naive, i just wanted to clarify ) i asked; "what do u mean? why is that being engaged / married to a ballet dancer is considered lucky?" so that the topic is out for a discussion. The response was...well it's a guy thing, we fantasize and just u imagine what a ballet dancer can do, there would be a lot of positions involve (complete with a few legs twisting n turning positions explanations, mind u). To sum the explanation all up a ballet dancer would be a great companion in bed. then my jaws dropped. it was down right Insulting. It was one disrespectful, insensitive comment i've ever heard. So what, we the non ballet dancers(i'd assume the non gymnasts, the non acrobats) suck in bed? that our husbands are unlucky to have us despite the fact that we are good at other things or even everything else but bellet dancing?

so the equation is; Ballet dancer (gymnast/ acrobat) + Bed = Lucky Bas3rd

i can't help but think that these people with this kind of mentality see the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, Ungrateful Bas3rd!

So what now Ladies, let's start registering ourselves for ballet lessons in order to make our men feel as lucky as that "lucky Bas3rd" whose fiancee is a ballet dancer.
Or perhaps on second thought, we should find someone who really appreciate who n what we are, big fat flabby tricepts, thighs and all...

Gosh do these d!1d0s ever look at themselves in the mirror sometimes, i wonder.

I have No Life!

when some one utterly says that "I have No Life!"
what does that suppose to mean?
that... they are not worthy of living?
that... they are a bore?
that... people around him bore them to death?
that... they are a waste of time to other people?
or
that... other people is a waste of time to them?

what would their loved ones think of such a statement?
wouldn't it sound hurtful?
that even being around them, this person still thinks that s/he has NO Life?
wouldn't it sound so embarrassing to their loved ones that, what the person literally imply is,"U make my life such a bore'? that ' i have to indulge in something to entertain myself'.

Do be careful when updating ur fb status or twitter or simply making a statement. U might not mean literally but to some sensitive emotional soul it could be very hurtful.

Think about it..

a missed call & what leads to it...

received a missed call sometime after midnight a few nights back. phone calls late at nite or early morning always put me into panic mode but since i didn't recognise the number so i just took it as a non intended call by the caller or to put it simply~ wrong number.

Norman Rohiza: rohizanorman432@msn.com

Dear (just Dear, no name so not being specific)

Hi,I just came back from oversea trip to Scotland. I am Miss.Rohiza Norman,I work with Avocet Mining PLC in UK as assistant senior supervisor. We may not know ourselves for now but it is my heart desire to take vacation leave from our company to visit Malaysia for the first time . My father originally came from Malaysia unfortunately I lost my father early without knowing my relatives.

I want to come and meet new friends, have fun and possibly discuss some business matters. It is no longer a news that Asia is developing so fast and catching up with developed countries with a lot of tourist attraction centers,it gives me so much joy because I want to witness it and be part of it.

I do not mean to inconvenience you neither do I want my presence to affect your work or business hours, instead I can adjust my time so that we can only meet in the evenings and weekends.I will appreciate it if you can spare your little time to welcome and accompany me,never mind I will take care of the expenses. If you say OK please let me know the nearest airport that will be easier for you to come and fetch me on arrival.

Rgds
Rohiza

password

why is a normal question used widely by children...why this, why that, why,why,why,why,why.....through infinity & beyond...the why will never stop.

but my question is...why are u, we most angry at the people we loved the most? is it because we expect them to do better or we think they should not have done those silly mistakes in the 1st place or done anything wrong cos we expect them to be super human with super power that their only job in the world is just to please us? or is it simply because we expect them to know or read what's on our mind  hence guessing what our password/s is/are?

ok, may be that doesn't sound right or even make sense but my question remains...why are we angriest at the people we loved the most? yes, often we are angry at people on the road or even at the roadsides too but probably not as hurtful as to compare to the people we loved the most...when the only thing we ask them to guess & guess it right is our password!

i guess...i'm just 'hangry' (hungry+angry=hangry) now is the reasons for this post...chill out lah Sunny....;P

the unplanned outing....bomb scare @ Jaya33

didn't planned to do any outing on Monday but when mehubby asked if i'd like to come along with him running some errands i did the Destiny's Child~ Jumpin' Jumpin' performance...my very own version of course..:D
at that instant, i suddenly thought... i needed to get some supplies for my cuppies at Wilton Section 14 P.J, 'if only u're heading that way sayang" i said hinting.:D..his reply was ...oh bless his heart..."we're going to meet up with LAG at KJ so that's not a problem at all."
of course heading down to section 14, PJ during lunch hour is never a good idea so we decided to park the car at Jaya 33 purely for stress free purposes...or so we thought.

anyway...going to Wilton is like a taste of heaven but with RM sign price tags on each items! *_____*
so after getting most of the things in my baking shopping list along with some that was not in the list :P  and after a stop over at digital mall for mehubby's replacement mobile phone battery we headed back to Jaya 33 for lunch @Subway & heading back home after that since Laith has Kumon class that evening.

as we walked across the pedestrian bridge towards the mall we saw people rushing out from the building with a couple of police cars parked at the valet parking spots but we took not much interest thinking that they were doing some drama shooting or they were having some VIPs or celebrities around the vicinity or just simply a routine fire drill by the management...hungry for food we kept on walking thru the main entrance without anyone stopping even though there were people rushing out & passing us with panic faces, so we took it as a good sign that in a few minutes we will be sitting down at the Subway outlet & enjoy those scrumptious sandwiches...damn i can already taste it in my mouth when we got to the outlet it was literally abandoned, no one eating, no body serving at the counter... so we thought "oh well then...let's head home instead & find somewhere to eat on the way..."

so we headed to the autopay station which then at the time cost us RM2 but the machine would not accept the money so we stood there wondering what's going on while people keep coming out of the lifts and hurrying out but none said anything to us...so i decided to go ask around when a building security approached ( well not quite 'approach' as to say just sort of ordering more like) us to wait outside....hmmm....*____*

as we joined the crowd we heard some snippets here & there about a bomb scare... & as we listen to one police officer explaining to some of the crowd he said, "we received a phone call saying that there is a bomb placed at the building, we don't know how true, but we want to make sure that we vacate everyone out of the building'.

since we could not enter the building & retrieve our car... & we sort of said farewell to it in the event that the bomb did eventually explod we walked back across the road & ended up having KFC for lunch... err.the KFC famous bowl sucks, i tell u..if only they actually mentioned that it's actually a hot pot i would not have tried it! erghhh...

these are the few pictures that i bothered snapping ( the view from the pedestrian bridge) cos i was too hungry to worry about anything else...and who knows it might also be my last meal ever hey!

even with us taking our own sweet time trying to enjoy our lunch...NOT! the waiting took forever...after lunch we went back to see if it's ok to enter n retrieve the car...hmmm..NOT!

so we went into the post office & continue waiting like *dungu again...hmmm...not knowing what to do people just start queuing up buying stamps & we started making assumptions that this must be the work of the post office people (across from Jaya 33) to actually boost up their stamp sale...:P as we got tired waiting in the post office, we walked along the shops & see lots of people waited (most of whom work at Jaya 33) while having a drink or two with their colleagues at the mamak restaurants, cafe & bistros...so we thought it must be the work of the kedai Mamak to boost up their businesses...as we walked on we saw more people inside the McDonald's outlet...hmmm it could also be the work of Mc Donald's to boost up their business...& so we walked some more...until finally we reached Secret Recipe & decided to pop in & help boost  up their business so we had coffee & tea, slices of cakes & more tea to drink...
& so we ate & drank & read & chat & when we started to have soar butts we decided to go back & see if we could finally & safely retrieve our car...

after about 3 & 1/2 hours of waiting finally we were free to go into the mall & the parking fee soared up to RM10!!! so we decided that the bomb scare has to be the work of the parking management to boost up their parking collections! :(

hence the end of my first bomb scare experience....

oops...it's a mistake!

let's face it...
no one is perfect
& that everyone makes mistakes
so here's a 'PING' to all of us...

ever heard of a saying
a rose by any other name would smell as sweet?
well...
a mistake by any other name;
be it spoken or by action..
BIG or small..
call it..
stupid mistake,
silly mistake
careless mistake
it simply is a mistake
a 'take' that u've *'mis'took! :P

however much we'd love
to undo
to delete
to forget

what's done is done
what said is said
only words written can be deleted or struck (like this)

if we are lucky enough there is of course
a lucky mistake
a once in a blue moon occurrence
as good as any of us winning a lottery!
(that is if we ever buy one!)

a mistake is usually unintentional
we only know its a mistake
after we *'mistook'!

one good thing comes out of it...
we learn from our mistake
not just from our own but
from others too...

of course it'll be great
if we can just wash our hands &
forget about it
or better still
if we can simply blame others
for those mistakes

it's the most precious life lesson...
learn from mistakes..
ours & others...

It's your attitude, not your aptitude that determines your altitude

Here is a story that I would like to share with you today.

Once there was an old and very wise man. Every day he would sit outside a gas station in his rocking chair and wait to greet motorists as they passed through his small town. On this day, his granddaughter knelt down at the foot of his chair and slowly passed the time with him.

As they sat and watched the people come and go, a tall man who surely had to be a tourist -- since they knew everyone in the town -- began looking around as if he were checking out the area for a place to live.

The stranger walked up and asked,"So what kind of town is this that we're in?"

The older gentleman slowly turned to the man and replied," Well, what kind of town are you from?"

The tourist said,"In the town I'm from everyone is very critical of each other. The neighbours all gossip about everyone, and it's a real negative place to live. I'm sure glad to be leaving. It is not a very cheerful place. "

The man in the chair looked at the stranger and said," You know, that's just how this town is."

An hour or so later a family that was also passing through stopped for gas. The car slowly turned in and rolled to a stop in front of where the older gentleman and his granddaughter were sitting. The mother jumped out with two small children and asked where the restrooms were. The man in the chair pointed to a small, bent-up sign that was barely hanging by one nail on the side of the door.

The father stepped out of the car and also asked the man,"Is this town a pretty good place to live?"

The man in the chair replied," What about the town you are from? How is it?"

The father looked at him and said,"Well, in the town I'm from everyone is very close and always willing to lend their neighbour a helping hand. There's always a hello and thank you everywhere you go. I really hate to leave. I feel almost like we are leaving family. "

The older gentlemen turned to the father and gave him a warm smile.

"You know, that's a lot like this small town."

Then the family returned to the car, said their thank yous, waved goodbye and drove away.

After the family was in the distance, the granddaughter looked up at her grandfather and asked,"Grandpa, how come when the first man came into our town you told him it was a terrible place to live and when the family came in to town you told them it was a wonderful place to live? "

The grandfather lovingly looked down at this granddaughter's wondering blue eyes and said,"No matter where you move, you take your own attitude with you and that's what makes it terrible or wonderful. "

It's your attitude, not your aptitude that determines your altitude. Happiness is not something you find, it's something you create.

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

he died of pancreatic cancer in 2008, but wrote a book ‘The last lecture” before then, one of the bestsellers in 2007. What a legacy to leave behind…
In a letter to his wife Jai and his children, Dylan, Logan, and Chloe, he wrote this beautiful "guide to a better life" for his wife and children to follow. May you be blessed by his insight.

POINTS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE

Personality:
1. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
2. Don't have negative thoughts of things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment
3. Don't over do; keep your limits
4. Don't take yourself so seriously; no one else does
5. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip
6. Dream more while you are awake
7. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
8. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner of his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
10. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present
11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.
Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
13. Smile and laugh more
14. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Community:
15. Call your family often
16. Each day give something good to others
17. Forgive everyone for everything
18. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6
19. Try to make at least three people smile each day
20. What other people think of you is none of your business
21. Your job will not take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:
22. Put GOD first in anything and everything that you think, say and do.
23. GOD heals everything
24. Do the right things
25. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
26. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up
27. The best is yet to come
28. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful
29. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it
30. If you know GOD you will always be happy. So, be happy.

While you practice all of the above,
share this knowledge with the people you love,
people you go to school with,
people you play with, people you work with and
people you live with.
Not only will it enrich YOUR life, but also that of those around you.

Earth Hour 2011

the last 2 years, we celebrated earth hour having bbq with family & friends. this year, we decided against it but to do 'solat hajat' instead for Dhaniah...that did not happen however until the next day cos the 'orang surau' were not available on earth hour day.

so we participated quietly at home~ just the 3 of us by lighting up lots of candles around the house. we switched of all the lights including the refrigerator!! oh well for an hour, why not~ save the earth, save the electricity bill! :P

each candles were lighted up with the lil pink mermaid~ Dhaniah in mind as well as the people effected by the tsunami in Japan.

i can't help being a lil nosy though since this is our first time celebrating earth hour at home,(while mehubby was busy playing soldier with his full combat paintball gear with Laith CQB style in the dark) i actually went out looking at how many of my neighbors observed the one hour lights off...sad to say,  almost none! both my immediate (right & left) neighbors had their porch, living rooms & rooms lights on, so were my other neighbours few doors away... my immediate back door neighbors also had their kitchen lights on....ignorant is bliss~ curiosity kills the cat! *____*

the wait...

i planned to have a lie- in after myubby left at 6am for JB & Laith left for school at 6:45am this morning.

BUT...

it wasn't meant to be...
wanna know why?
cos the person whom myubby was suppose to go to JB with arrived at 7:55am!!!

& the lamest, most pathetic seriously old schooled, utterly outdated excuse given was, the alarm clock didn't go off!!!

if it's the first time or that it rarely happens that is excusable...but for 2 freaking hours??? 2 lost lie- in hours?

i know it's not my freaking business in that business of urs but i'm indirectly involved in the wait since i wanna see myubby off for the journey, tqvm!!

if u're reading this i know it nips u really hard in the butt... but yeah...
please respect other people's time if u don't respect ur own...don't dream of playing soldier if u can't even read the time, Mister!

i wonder what ur excuses will be in 4 months time...will the hours people have to wait for u double up too?

i rest my case...

oh.. read the last 2 posts here & here

time..to some...

to some..

time is...money
time is...priceless
time is...golden
time is...precious
time is...a way of discipline
time is...a way of life of a soldier
time is...a promise
time is...short
time is...borrowed

to some...every tick of the seconds make all the difference in the world
cos time is.. Everything
time is DEFINITELY NOT 2 or 3 hours later!!!!

to some...
time is... nothing
time is... sleep
time is...say what?
time? what about it? i have all the time in the world!
time is...how long does a certain food ready on 'cafe world' or
a certain crops ready to harvest on 'farmville / townsville' on facebook.
time is present?
yeah... i'm wearing a *thousands* worth of watch, what is ur problem?

the problem is...
learn to READ the time
Not Look at the time
learn to respect the time...
if NOT yours
respect other's!!!

every second counts..
know why it's called second?
cos it's giving way for u to be the FIRST!

Time is precious, waste it wisely...

ever heard of the alarm clock?

some people...
they're late for everything...
everything means...literally every time for everything!
not just once but every time...
from the moment they open their eyes in the morning...
to the moment they close their eyes to sleep at nite.
they're late for business appointments,
meeting & gathering with family & friends...
for all occasions...

if not for some constant urging & reminder from others
they'd even be late for their own wedding!
ironically, they'll always the 1st to show up for movie outing!
oh wait, why?
because they organize it &
got piss off when other people were late...

if they're in the army...
oh wait... urhhm.. sorry...NOT IN
they' can't be IN the army...
'know why?
cos...they'll be kick out before they're even managed the 1st interview...
'know why?
they were late for that interview!!!

it's just a common courtesy...
if u're gonna be late, please say so, let the others know that u're late.
if not,
make an effort with all the trendiest gadgets in the world...
lately, phone and time go hand in hand...if u suck at looking at it or reading it,
put the alarm on
put the reminder on.
get the person u're meeting with give u a wake up call..

leave half an hour early rather then half an hour late.
don't make others wait for u
it gives bad reputation on urself
& bad sourish taste in the mouth & a few more wrinkles on the face of others!
seriously...don't think of only ur  own beauty sleep, think of other people's too!

People say: "Always late but Worth the wait"
but not for inconsiderate people like these...^
