mamai punya cerita

i was diagnosed with Tendonsomethingsomethinglitis. which in ordinary term simply means tendon tear on my right shoulder caused by repetitive shoulder motion blahblahblah... the doctor explained.

oklah senang cerita... coz i play golf five days a week, that's why. -.-

it's been almost 3 months now since the start of Ramadhan.

last week i went to the specialist and they gave a jab on my shoulder. i hate needles but the jab is suppose to make me pain free...so i agreed to it.

actually that's not what the post all about, it's what happened slightly before and after the jab.

so a few days before my appointment with the specialist, my Event Manager(EM) WhatsApp me if i was interested to take a job.
my first impression of the date was it's on that weekend Sunday.

the Jab was scheduled on the 20/8/2015, apart from i was feeling numb on my  right arm, i also felt drowsy and sleepy... so i slept through...

when i woke up the next day (Friday) sometime after noon i checked my phone and thought, arghhh!!!! i forgot to confirm with my EM about the job and that it's not on Sunday as i initially thought but on that very Friday itself!

notice that i type 21/9 instead of 21/8, a minute later
when i scrolled through again and saw she mentioned 21/11
now, that even got me confused

then for some reason later that evening i just realized that i didn't even get the current month right to begin with!

i still feel pain in my shoulder but not as bad but it has probably migrated to my elbow now... sadly, hopefully temporarily, the doctor said i can't  play golf for the next 6 weeks. Haishhhhh...... :'(

partially handicapped,

Padded pop: from xs to XL and back.

i inherited Baba's body frame whom in turn inherited my Nene's body frame whom i have no clue who'd she inherited her petite body frame from for obvious reason i've never met my great grandparents so i wouldn't know, ie... i don't get fat or rather would and should never get fat... but...see the shadow in the pix?  even the shadow about a year ago says that i've gone nicely padded all around!

the shadow says it all >.<
if anyone should take the responsibility of blame, it's kak Mimi, she fattens me up with her Lauk Jawa everyday! yeah i love her to bits but yeah totally blame her for my padded frame. d(^0^)b

have u ever realize that the last people to notice that u've gain some kilos are the closest to u and the people whom you seldom see are the ones to notice?
in my case obviously, i noticed (since early 2014) when  i can hardly fit into my jeans, the buttons on my work shirts were popping, i've always need to suck in my tummy when i wear my tight fitted tops, my XS size golf skirt slowly turned Small, after which i had to make do with Medium then L and to my horror quickly after that i had to feel comfortable in XL!! one good thing came out of it was that i didn't have to wear padded bras or even push up bras...they just ballooning blossom naturally @-@

going shopping with myubby becomes very uncomfortable when he insisted that he'd helped me look for the sizes. so i'll take the L/XL and let him look for the S/ M sizes for me to try on...hahahah...
u can run u can hide but the shadow will always find u

myubby whom i see everyday of course has been hinting for awhile but i just brush it off with."am i  not more 'cuddleble' now?  i was of course  in denial and he was just too smart to counter that.

then one day, myFIL whom i see everyday casually said in front of myubby "DIL, u've put on kilos!" i was stunned that he noticed and myubby was like" see Bah also notices". i was horriFAT!

a couple weeks later myMIL, whom i  also see everyday pointed out loud "U've gained quite some kilos haven't u DIL!" i almost bolted out the window at that very moment if i wasn't too padded up to squeeze through it.b(>.<)b

late November 2014, we were invited to a wedding. an excellent excuse for me to find a new dress, i said.   browsing through the sizes of one particular design, cutting and the material i  was confident i would at least fit into the L size but, no matter how much i sucked in and hold me breath in, L size was just a mission impossible. so i walked out the shop with head bow low, cheeks so red that i don't even remember putting any  blusher on when i left home that day,  eyes fixed on the floor  with the XL size dress in my hand -__________-

browsing through the photos of the wedding later, almost gave me one heart attack to another was the turning point..
realizing that my thighs say hello to each other and start a conversation every steps that i take, that i was huffing and puffing taking one flight of staircase up to and from my bedroom, myubby cheekily reminds me to tilt my head up so not to show my double chin was just way too much.

so i told myself enough is enough
after hours of online  research for the best diet programs; almost bought myself those online 'Best Diet Program" that is on offer for just one day only. after consulting with  New Atkins New You book that i bought for charity from my SIL's office.
I made a new years resolution that i would go on Atkin's diet starting on the first of Jan 2015 at 62kg.
62!!!!?? haihh...

starting diligently with the 2 weeks Intro program  followed by phase two soon after that. i am well into my 8th month on Atkins now and am comfortably maintaining my 50kg and back at wearing my size S Shirts, Skirts, Shorts and dresseS.

Branding...the same product of different brands

i dont write about politics nor do i like to get involve in it. seriously, it's such a waste of time...yes, as a citizen i will perform my right to vote in this GE13 but to choose the party...hmmm...is there any much different from one party to another? i wonder...

personally, to me..it's just like the same product from the same factory but wrapped in different packaging n branding..

missing him...

Once upon a time not too long ago..
they came to the world in pair..
one little prince and one little pinkcess warriors fighting in the battle of life.
the little prince knew what no one else did..
he also knew that two is better than one but one is better than none...
so he gave way...

missing him,
alone in the battle, the little pinkcess fought and fought...

missing him,
through blood, sweat, puke and what little tears she had,
she fought n fought...

missing him,
through the tender loving care that she received,
she fought and fought...

missing him,
through the scissors and knives, syringes and medications
she fought n fought...

missing him,
through doctors and appointments..
she knew she was not just fighting for herself but for the selfless little prince as well...

so she fought on..

but... she's missing him so much..
she could fight no more...
she was just too tired through the tears that could not be seen,
through the cry of pain that could not be heard...

she's missing her twin,
she longed to play with him..
is that too much to ask?

a little warrior pinkcess she was..she fought through what little breath she had...what little love she could give...

now finally together...
look up, there u can see two extra diamonds twinkling in the sky...

*Pinkcess Dhaniah, u're one in a million, u're stronger than we thought...
u're the only pink in the sea of blue,
our love is forever with u....

Salam Umy, Aby and Abang Laith to ur Beloved Big Brother Suffian Mikhail...
Love always... ♥ ♥ ♥

Semoga Allah mencucuri Rahmat ke atas keduanya...amiin...

in loving memories of Pinkcess Dhaniah

My new personal assistant :-)

What's lost can be replaced. It might b a lot better but it will never be the same...

Yes, finally i saved enough to get myself another android phone~  Couldnt afford an sIII which `is designed for human`I settled with an sII instead which is probably designed for either zombies or robots i guess...not a problem really cos i feel like one anyway...hehehe...:-P

I had never been an iphone or blackberry fan. initially, i had my eyes on s2 for the longest time but it was beyond my budget so with galaxy s3 launched recently n that my previous galaxy plus went to a new owner ( unwillingly)s2 suits me well even if it's a little outdated( but upgraded s2 version nonetheless ;-) ).
Only downside is im still missing all those lists of things n thoughts i had on my ex-PA :'(

Laith's MyKad

finally, after turning 12 about 2 weeks ago which also mean 2 weeks of procrastination on our part, we finally took Laith to Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (National Department of Registration of Malaysia)to do his National Registration Identification Card (NRIC) / MyKad.
why we procrastinated? well...it's just that...the idea of going to a government agencies (any government agencies for that matter) for whatever reasons somehow put us off since that will also mean we have to be prepared for a long wait for hours on end.

anyhooo..lazy butt or not, it's compulsory to get the mycard done for every children within 30 days upon turning 12 or be ready to be fined.

soooo.....after making a phone call to the department enquiring on what to bring; child's original birth certificate and parent's mycard and was also informed to wear something dark for the id photo we were good to go.

our fear of having to wait for a long long time and that we probably have to break our fast at the department was however much exaggeration... it was surprisingly fast, after we queued up (was a short queue) and given our 'wait number' and a form to fill,

we sat down and wait for our number to be called. the number came up about 6, 7 minutes later. went up to the registration officer, took Laith's thumbprints and my hubby's identification card to make sure that he is legitimately ours, we were told to sit down again and wait for the photo counter to call that same number. 2 minutes later, the number was up again and photo was taken and then was told " ok, u may go now."

we were like... seriously? that fast? we seriously can go now? Wow!!
i was almost so prepared for a long Hindustan entangled movie for this post but surprise, surprise it's one of those short, sweet and straight to the point one. Bravo JPN, keep up the speed!

Happy fasting people!! :)

Lost and Gone :'(

Yesterday, was the 4th of Ramadhan and what did i feel like doing...? hmmm...extreme generosity was best to  describe. after accompanying mehubby for his med check at the hospital in the afternoon. i went off running some errand. the last stop was to the post office for a bill that is not possible to be made payment online. while filling in the cheque, i put my beloved 7 month old Samsung Galaxy (a birthday present from mehubby) on the counter. then, i waited for my number to come up ~DiNG 1 0 4 7~ WooHoo that was fast i thought. once done i headed back to the car to go...but oh wait...i forgot... to ask about this Western Union International money transfer that i was meaning to ask the clerk about...but then i thought...oh well i'll come back tomorrow...

when i went back to the office mehubby then told me that we were to break our fast with my little sick niece Pink and my BIL at the hospital so i said ok baybeh...then i went about doing my business...
to cut the story short, when we were about to leave for the hospital my SIl was telling me that she's been calling me but that it's gone straight to voice mail n i was like huh what r u taking about?, my pho..ne is...Where the dotdotdotdot  is my PHONE? (promise no swearing during Ramadhan, Sunny!)

in denial, i searched the office, the car, the rooms (while mehubby tried to call the phone which too went straight into voice mail)...in vAiN...half zombie like i sat next to my hubby in the car and backtrack what i did, where i went, what i did & where i stopped that afternoon. OHEMMMGEE....i left my phone at the POST Bl**** OFFICE!!!! it was already 6pm and there wasn't time for us to go back there and check since we had to bit the traffic if we wanted to get to the hospital on time for iftar though i wasn't really into eating anymore....

so people say, it's not the phone that we're worried about, we can always get a new phone or that it's the best excuse to get a new phone and blahblahblah and blahblahblah...it's the contacts in there so they said...yeah try that sentiment when it happens to them one day...let's just hope no one else have to face what i just did.
as for me apart from it's sentimental value, the contacts in there, my thought's, my ideas, my goofy-syok sendiri pictures~the best i could remember...thank God none were controversial ones though (so i hope ;P), my personal expenses, my personal journal about things that are 'unbloggable'. and oh dear my bitching with my besties thru text msgs...my hard to find songs in my micro sd card, my personal reminder, my various alarm reminder (for prayer, for sahur, for Laith's bed time, for Laith's school, tuition, kumon and to remind me to take my memory booster) my dreams, my plans my lists of to do things (daily basis) plus my bucket list...and the list of things in there can just go on and on and on....:'(

i feel naked and exposed...;'(
* now i hope u read this post  u son/ daughter of whatever...(* personal reminder~no swearing Sunny!)  that u also have my all 3 account numbers all ~ Hong Leong, Public Bank and Maybank, just deposit RM200 into each account every month for the rest of ur life, thank u.

imagine the hassles u have to go thru when u lost ur phone.

first things first, i called the telco to cancel the service ( which i will have to apply for a new sim card provided i have a phone that i can insert the sim card in, that is), then i changed all the passwords for all my Gmail accounts-4 all together (my business, my general, my personal, my extra personal accounts..hehehe...) ...which i have sync to the phone, my facebook account (just one), my twitter account and all my blahblahblah other accounts...phewh i managed to change all of 'em before my phone beneficiary got their hands into messing my life with any one of them accounts... *____* so i guess they were not smart enough to figure out how to decode n reset the smart phone hey!

this morning, i went back to the post office just for a closure. it's always 50-50 chance in getting it back...wishful thinking it maybe but there's no harm in trying right...plus it's the month of Ramadhan, who would steal during the holy month right? WRONG!!!
NOPE, no one found it and handed it back to the post office people and basically the post office people denied any knowledge of any phone being left behind yesterday...  ~END~ .

although it wasn't voluntarily, i've probably made someone's day yesterday, so that was probably good too..on my expense -____-

i keep reminding myself that it's just a small test from the Almighty. it was just a phone (regardless that all my personal n business contacts in there) NOT me darling hubby that i still get to lie next to at night or me one and only Laith that i get to see him off to school in the morning and fetch him home from school in the afternoon and say good nite to at bedtime or anyone of my family members or even my health that he decided to take away from me yesterday...Alhamdulillah...
Praise to God too that there are food on my plate that i still get to eat during iftar and sahur, there is still roof over my head, the country is not at war or on natural disaster.... count on ur blessings Sunny!

just hope that my phone beneficiary will look after my virtual families that i've been looking after for the last 21 generations well fed, kept and housed. my fantasy town that i have been working on at level 26. Oh please have a heart, don't post those pictures when i was at the waterfall in Facebook k.

as for now while i start saving up for my next swanky phone, i'll make do with the one that i could throw at that dishonest thieving 'S O' that has taken ownership of my very own personal assistant...if ever..

Have a grand day u people...
Taa.

when in Penang...

Went to Penang Island (Pulau Pinang) during the last school holiday...it was the first visit for the kids....so what did we do?
...hmm nothing much..cos it was mostly raining for the 3 days 2 nights we were there....(rain is Good...i love it when it rains :)

so it was a no brainer we should 'explore' some indoor activities at Queensbay Mall instead...err.. window shopping mostly...

 then...

we watched Snow BlaWhite and the Huntsman (yawnnnn...).. while the kids...

 spent their time here...*____*

oh ok ok...i almost forgot ...( rewind )...going to Penang Island would not be dramatically authentic if u don't do the ferry ride... which u however, would have to spend at least an hour wait before the ride...this probably happens during school holidays though...because of the long queue.

my BIL, laith and my nephews...
which we did when we arrived from Butterworth...good thing we were using the good old GPS to find the Ferry terminal or we'll just ended up crossing to the Penang island using the bridge instead... but then again ..

crossing the Penang Bridge is another must do thing when visiting Penang...the total length of the bridge is 13.5 km (8.4 mi), making it the longest bridge in Malaysia and the fourth-longest in Southeast Asia. so that'll be a good general knowledge for the kids n hope that they learn something during the trip too.

the little island that i'd imagine would be perfect for our weekend getaway cabin... only to be squashed by mehubby lil comment : "it'll only be wiped out when the tsunami comes..." errkkk...scratch that! :(

on the 1st night in Penang, somehow, we managed to get our tired butts out to the Batu Ferringhi Sidewalk nite bazaar. unfortunately, no photos cos i wasn't really in the mood to take pictures that nite :(

it was kinda fun though cos u really have to haggle hard to get the price down to the locals' rate if u don't want to pay the tourists' rate that is. yes, this market catering mainly, though not exclusively, to foreign tourists . so us locals, we haggle and we haggle hard! :) oh but make sure after the haggling u buy the said item or u'll be cursed left, right and center...if u know what i mean. :)

ok on food...when in Penang, try eat their famous Char Koay Teow, Rojak Buah, Pasembur and Laksa Penang...

unlike yours truly~ she had Soft Shell Crab Bento at Queensbay Mall Foodcourt! hahaha...

but, but, but...
i did try their famous Nasi Kandar Line Clear though..

to those unfamiliar what nasi kandar is :  here is an explanation taken from Wikipedia
Nasi Kandar is a popular northern Malaysian dish, which originates from Penang. It is a meal of steamed rice which can be plain or mildly flavored, and served with a variety of curries and side dishes.

The word Nasi Kandar, came about from a time when nasi (rice) hawkers or vendors would kandar (balance) a pole on the shoulder with two huge containers of rice meals. The name has remained and today the word Nasi Kandar is seen on most Tamil Muslim or "Malaysian Mamak" restaurants and Indian-Muslim stall meals.

The rice for a nasi kandar dish is often placed in a wooden container about three feet high, giving it a distinctive aroma. The rice is accompanied by side dishes such as fried chicken, curried spleen, cubed beef, fish roe, fried prawns or fried squid. The vegetable dish would usually be brinjal (aubergine), okra (lady fingers or "bendi") or bitter gourd. A mixture of curry sauces is poured on the rice. This is called 'banjir' (flooding) and imparts a diverse taste to the rice.
Started way back in 1930, Line Clear Nasi Kandar is one of the oldest nasi kandar outlet in Penang. It is located on an alley at the Chulia Street (Lebuh Chulia) and Penang Road (Jalan Penang) junction along the way to Chowrasta market.

the one with the red hat and shades is the famous rather annoying server is the whistleblower who would blow the whistle every after he finishes serving  a customer( or a group of them ) and shouts "Line Clear!"  to indicate that it's the next customer in line's turn to be served. the waiters would occasionally glide by ur table and ask" Line Clear?' with a thumb's up to denote "do u have anything else to order / do u want anything while i'm here... to order or to complain?" (just my interpretation though...only God knows what they actually mean...:D)

the Fish Head..with teeth and all..."Haiyak, Piranha, Run Away, Run Away..!!!"

that's a pretty Big prawn hey!

the before and after Nasi Kandar 'Line clear' at 10pm pic of Wawa.
i've been to Penang a lot of times but i 've never had Nasi Kandar before. to me, it's just way too much gravy for my liking and too spicy for me to actually enjoy it. oh well, we all have different taste buds don't we...:)

Next must visit place is the Chowrasta Market, famous for it's fruit pickles. Fruit pickles are fruits preserved in heavy syrup or brine.  there are also spicy ones when chilies are added.
Penang is famous for its pickled nutmeg, mangoes, guava and papaya. other local fruits such as kedondong, salak, asam kelubi and cermai are also equally yum-yums as pickles.

didn't get to bring the kids to the beach, didn't get to eat their famous Char Koey Teow, Penang Laksa or  their Rojak buah, did not get to do much sightseeing... but we did have a swell time in Penang.

there my long post of the month..phewhh...

till we meet again...Ta!
